Build a Cloud Day at USENIX LISA '11

build a cloud, citrix, zenoss, cloud stack, open sourceDuring the week of December 5th, Zenoss will be sponsoring the 25th USENIX Large Installation System Administrator (LISA) Conference. I'll talk more to that in a future post, but on Friday, December 9th, we will be taking part in the CloudStack Build a Cloud Day.

In early November, we announced a new ZenPack for CloudStack support. Be sure to check out our session at Build a Cloud Day to see how to install and use the CloudStack ZenPack with Zenoss. Our own Simon Jakesch will also provide training on how to monitor a cloud computing environment. His presentation will give you an overview of the Zenoss Core management platform. You will also learn how to install Zenoss Core, add devices and send alerts based on conditions within your cloud computing infrastructure.

Build a Cloud Day is dedicated to teaching users how to build and manage a cloud computing environment using free and open source software. The program is designed to expose attendees to the concepts and best practices around deploying cloud computing infrastructure.

The lineup of presentations are going to be well-worth your time. Other presenters & companies participating this year include:
