AUSTIN, TX — March 9, 2015 – Zenoss Inc., a leading provider of unified IT monitoring and service analytics for virtual, physical and cloud-based IT infrastructures, today announced the addition of Taylor Rhodes, President and CEO of Rackspace (NYSE: RAX), to its board of directors.
As CEO of Rackspace, Rhodes is responsible for the development and execution of the company’s strategy, which focuses on the growing managed cloud market. Managed cloud allows businesses to tap into the power of cloud computing without the pain and expense of bringing cloud expertise in house.
Rhodes joined Rackspace in 2007 to lead the business unit responsible for delivering Fanatical Support® to the company’s largest and most complex customers. From there, he held various leadership positions, including Chief Customer Officer, where he was responsible for developing the company's strategic priorities and creating business growth across international markets in Europe, Asia and Australia.
Rhodes is a former U.S. Marine Corps infantry officer and holds an MBA from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
"As a proven leader who has generated growth and delivered scale in a publicly traded company, Taylor will be an extremely valuable addition to our board," said Greg Stock, Zenoss Chairman and CEO. "He is an authority on the information technology sector and key cloud computing trends. We’re really looking forward to having him on the team."
Rhodes’ appointment comes on the heels of a series of significant company milestones at Zenoss this year:
"As the number one managed cloud company, Rackspace is focused on helping customers tap into the cloud’s scale and speed, while simplifying their IT operations," said Rhodes. "I’m excited to join the Zenoss board of directors and help them capitalize on this dynamic, growing cloud segment."
