By: Brian Wilson >> We are thrilled to showcase another amazing customer that replaced legacy frameworks and centralized operations with Zenoss hybrid IT monitoring.
One of the U.S.’s largest bank holding companies replaced more than 35 monitoring tools – including four legacy frameworks – with the Zenoss hybrid IT monitoring platform, reducing mean time to resolution (MTTR) by a staggering 85 percent.
A full-service bank with nearly 1,000 branches and $100 million in assets, the bank is committed to providing a superior customer experience at all times. After investing in dozens of monitoring tools, the bank found itself struggling with rising license costs and a distributed IT environment, which resulted in siloed event visibility, excessive response and resolution times for administrators and unnecessary disruptions for customers.
Looking for a modern approach, the bank turned to Zenoss to centralize IT operations, and provide a 360-degree view of its environment. Zenoss now consolidates performance and availability data from the bank’s application performance monitoring, mainframe, database and information security tools, while also directly monitoring the health and performance for more than 15,000 systems and applications across multiple data centers.
With Zenoss, this full service bank not only eliminated silos, but also reduced software license and maintenance costs, and extra labor hours, which funded a 65 percent growth in head count to support strategic business operations.
“We had server events in one console, network events in another database and so forth. With Zenoss, we created a ‘single source of truth’ – giving us the transparency necessary to resolve issues quickly,” said the infrastructure manager. “Anyone struggling with legacy frameworks, either from a cost or functionality perspective should look at Zenoss.”
The bank joins a growing roster of financial services organizations using Zenoss. The bank chose Zenoss based on its comprehensive monitoring coverage, as well as the hybrid IT platform’s tight integration with ServiceNow, which further streamlines incident-management processes and response times.
When consumers think of banks, they want speed, service and reliability. Decentralized legacy solutions hinder all of these goals and are driving banking customer loyalty to its lowest numbers in decades.
While many financial services organizations have been slow to adapt to today’s changing IT environment, our customer is taking full advantage of hybrid IT monitoring and analytics, proactively improving the overall experience for millions of customers around the country.
