By: Chad Wall >> Zenoss successfully completed its mission at the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) 2016 Department of Defense Intelligence Information Systems (DoDIIS) Worldwide Conference, held at the Georgia World Congress Center in downtown Atlanta.
Over 2,000 participants attended this year’s conference, which featured over 300 exhibits from across the world, including a broad range of government, military, civilian and industry partners. In fact, that is what makes DoDIIS Worldwide unique among conferences. It serves as a forum where attendees can learn from, and interact with, a broad range of intelligence community, Department of Defense, and technology leaders about IT issues impacting the mission user.
Topics range from cloud, physical and virtual environments to new regulatory and compliance issues. Check out Zenoss comments on how the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud computing approach to managing government data and software is slowly changing how federal buyers acquire tech services and cybersecurity products.
Zenoss Deploys at DoDIIS 2016
The Zenoss booth attracted much foot traffic this year, namely because of its “Wheel of Fortune”. Participants spun the wheel, and their winnings—whether five dollars, twenty dollars, fifty dollars, or one hundred dollars—resulted in matching donations by Zenoss to the USASOC (the U.S. Army Special Operations Command) and their families. And as you could imagine, at an event with such a strong military presence and focus, very few passersby turned down the opportunity to have fun, do a good turn and learn more about Zenoss.
Hosted by the DIA Chief Information Officer (CIO), the 2016 event's theme was “Mission Integration at the Speed of Operations”. Apart from over 40 breakout sessions, several luminaries spoke at the conference, including the Honorable James R. Clapper, Director of National Intelligence (DNI) and Lt. General Vincent R. Stewart, USMC, who serves as Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).
